Key Responsibilities

• Patient Preparation and Care: Assess and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and other interventional procedures. Provide direct care throughout.
• Monitoring and Procedure Assistance: Monitor patient status and operate advanced medical equipment during procedures.
• Patient Education: Instruct patients and families on post-procedure care and ongoing health management.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in quality initiatives to enhance patient safety and care standards.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas (compact licensure or multiple state licenses is a plus).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab or related setting preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required.
