Job Description: Physical Therapist (Long Term Care)
Location: Tulsa, OK 74136
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Pay: $50 to $55 hourly on W2
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our long-term care team in Tulsa, OK. This role involves working with residents in a long-term care facility to improve their mobility, function, and quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatric care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate residents' physical conditions, identify problems, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement physical therapy interventions to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
- Utilize various techniques such as exercises, manual therapy, and equipment to aid in residents' rehabilitation.
- Monitor and document residents' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on techniques to improve mobility and prevent injury.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of treatments and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay current with developments in physical therapy practices and integrate new knowledge into practice.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Physical Therapist license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care or similar setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- BLS certification is required.
