Job Description: Physical Therapist (Long Term Care)

Location: Tulsa, OK 74136

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Days

Pay: $50 to $55 hourly on W2

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our long-term care team in Tulsa, OK. This role involves working with residents in a long-term care facility to improve their mobility, function, and quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatric care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents' physical conditions, identify problems, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement physical therapy interventions to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Utilize various techniques such as exercises, manual therapy, and equipment to aid in residents' rehabilitation.
• Monitor and document residents' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on techniques to improve mobility and prevent injury.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of treatments and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay current with developments in physical therapy practices and integrate new knowledge into practice.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the state of Oklahoma.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care or similar setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• BLS certification is required.
