Job Description: Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Location: Marshall, MI 49068

Shift: Full Time, 4 x 10-hour shifts

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Days may vary and can be negotiated)

Duration: 13 weeks

Pay Rate: $40 to $45 per hour (W2)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in Marshall, MI. This full-time position offers a unique schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, providing comprehensive therapy services to children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with pediatric patients and be committed to enhancing their developmental skills and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of pediatric patients to determine their functional abilities and areas needing improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each child's specific needs.
  • Use a variety of techniques and activities to help children develop fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and other occupational skills.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care and support for each patient.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate and support families and caregivers in understanding and reinforcing therapeutic techniques and activities at home.
  • Maintain a safe and engaging therapy environment that encourages participation and progress.
  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy to provide the highest standard of care.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Michigan.
  • Proven experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a clinical or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and pediatric conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
