Sonographer - Cardiac Position in Alpena, MI

• Hourly Pay Rate: $73/hr
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Contract Duration: 3 Months
• Certifications Required: BLS by AHA (Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association)
• Minimum Experience: 1 year

Job Description: A Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) performs diagnostic procedures using ultrasound equipment to capture images of the heart and its chambers, valves, and vessels. The sonographer works closely with cardiologists to provide accurate diagnostic information.

Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in operating echocardiography equipment and performing cardiac ultrasound procedures.
• Ability to work the specified shift of Monday to Friday, either 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the process.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and review images.
• Maintain patient records and document findings accurately.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.
