Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location: Santa Clara, CA 95054
Shift: Days
Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $35 to $40 per hour (W2)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team in Santa Clara, CA. As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients, helping them improve their functional abilities and quality of life. This is a 13-week assignment with day shifts, offering guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and occupational performance.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans as needed in consultation with the Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises to continue at home.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of California.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
