Job Description: Physical Therapist (Outpatient)
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Owosso, MI
Shift: Days
Pay Rate: Salary: $31.88/hour (dependent upon experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team in Owosso, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing physical therapy treatment programs for patients with a variety of conditions. The Physical Therapist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Evaluation and Assessment:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals.

Treatment Planning and Implementation:
- Provide direct physical therapy services using evidence-based techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions and how to manage them effectively.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Education and Advocacy:
- Instruct patients in exercises and activities to improve their strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
- Advocate for patients’ needs within the healthcare system.

Professional Development:
- Stay current with advancements in physical therapy through continuing education.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Licensure:
- Must be licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of Michigan.

Experience:
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
