Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to pediatric patients, ensuring their safety and well-being in a high-acuity environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work in high-pressure situations, and a focus on family-centered care.

Duties

  • Monitor and assess the condition of critically ill pediatric patients, including vital signs and clinical status.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Administer medications, perform interventions, and manage complications as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families about care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Meditech.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Pediatric Intensive Care or a similar acute care setting.
  • Inpatient care experience is required.

Requirements

  • Active GA State RN license.
  • ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required.
