Job Description: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Long-Term Care (LTC)

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Location: Saint Joseph, MO

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days

Hourly Pay: $30 to $32 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Saint Joseph, MO, for a 13-week contract in a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for helping patients improve their mobility and overall well-being in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Physical Therapists in providing treatments to patients, including exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic activities.
• Work closely with patients to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals, improving mobility, strength, and quality of life.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to be continued at home.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is required.
• Experience in LTC or Rehab: Preferred.
• License: Must possess an active PTA license.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
