Position Title: Registered Nurse (Med Surg)

Location: Norman, OK, 73071

Job Type: Perm

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Pay Range: $27.84-45.46/hour (based on education and experience) 

(shift and weekend differentials available)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg team at Norman, OK, . As a member of our dynamic team, you will provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in our Medical Surgical unit.

Responsibilities:

1. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
2. Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with procedures as needed.
3. Documenting patient assessment, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system.
4. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
5. Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
6. Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
7. Participating in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

1. Valid RN license in the state of OK.
2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or similar acute care setting preferred.
3. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
7. Weekend availability required; flexibility to work additional shifts as needed.
