Job Description:
United Healthcare System is seeking a highly qualified Dentist (DEN) to join our dynamic team in Crescent City, CA. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the health and well-being of employees within various occupational settings. Role and responsibilities:
⦁ All Dentists must be able to speak, understand oral and written communication and write effectively in the English language.
⦁ Providing Dental Care: Responsible for diagnosing and treating dental conditions of incarcerated individuals. This includes routine dental check-ups, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other necessary dental procedures.
⦁ Emergency Dental Care: They must be prepared to provide emergency dental care to inmates who may experience sudden dental issues or injuries.
⦁ Treatment Planning: Dentists develop treatment plans for each patient based on their oral health needs, medical history, and available resources within the prison system.
⦁ Record Keeping: Accurate record-keeping is crucial in prison dental care. Dentists must maintain detailed records of each patient's treatment history, including procedures performed, medications prescribed, and any follow-up care needed.
⦁ Collaboration with Other Healthcare Professionals: Dentists often work closely with other healthcare professionals within the prison system, including physicians, nurses, and mental health providers, to ensure comprehensive care for inmates.
⦁ Educational Initiatives: Some prison dentists may participate in educational initiatives aimed at promoting good oral hygiene practices among inmates. This could include oral health education sessions or distributing educational materials.
