Position:  Senior Project Manager II  

Location: Hybrid / Nashville, TN 37203

Duration:  12 Month(s)    

Shift: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

Pay Rate: $55/Hr

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager II to oversee the implementation of contact center technology across multiple non-clinical business units, including Scheduling and Pre-Authorizations, Customer Service, and Eligibility Services. This role focuses on the operational needs, process changes, end user testing, rollout planning, and communication. The Senior Project Manager II will coordinate activities between internal development teams, technical PMs, and vendor teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, monitor, and manage multiple, diverse medium to large projects of high complexity.
  • Act as a single point of accountability on assigned projects.
  • Secure required resources and use Parallon Project Services project controls and standards.
  • Ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.
  • Proactively communicate and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Facilitate effective outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate project activities and manage risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies.
  • Provide management of staff to ensure quality and integration of work.
  • Mentor staff in applying project management controls.
  • Facilitate decision-making and author/facilitate project implementation documentation.
  • Ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost.

Special Skills:

  • Experience overseeing multiple projects at a program level.
  • Knowledge of Agile and traditional project methodologies.
  • Strong communications/transformation management skills.
  • Familiarity with contact center operations is beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Project Management: Identifies and communicates project scope, goals, project plan, and project progress/performance.
  • Organization: Focuses and proactively prioritizes initiatives; effectively manages tasks and resources.
  • Communication: Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques; communicates clearly and concisely.
  • Financial Analysis: Plans and tracks project budget performance.
  • Facilitation: Facilitates agreement in groups; opens and closes discussions effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency or willingness to learn Microsoft Office applications, online collaboration tools, and project management tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple projects to successful completion, preferably in healthcare financial services, clinical operations, supply chain, or information systems-oriented environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience preferred, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Healthcare, hospital system, hospital, supply chain, workforce management, financial services, technical/systems experience a plus.
  • HCA, HealthTrust, or Parallon experience a plus.

Certificate/License:

  • PMP certification preferred, but not required.
  • LEAN and/or SIX SIGMA certification a plus, but not required.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Normal range of hearing and eyesight.
  • Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Work is an office environment, which may be stressful at times.
