Unit Profiles: The purpose of a unit profile is to help provide an exceptional understanding of the unit.  Profiles will include location, number of beds, patient rations, and other unique details to assist recruiting professional in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff.   Below you will find a data collection tool to help you identify essential data needed to complete your profile.    Data Collection: Unit Information:  Location: Del Sol Medical Center Building: Main Campus Floor: N/A Order Detail: Facility Department Number:  76624 Discipline: Occupational Therapy Quantity: 2 Target Start Date: ASAP Shift: Days-8 hour shifts Call Requirements: N/A Weekends: Occasional General Information Tell us about the unit(s): •         Number of Beds – 347 bed acute care hospital •         Number of Staff – 3 FT OT, 6 PRN OT, 1 PRN COTA •         Type of staff: o    Day Shift – all day shift o    Night Shift – N/A •         Patient Ratios – 8-12 patients per day •         Type of equipment – ADL training kitchen, Tub and shower transfer training room, splinting equipment, ADL adaptive equipment, dynamometers, 9 hole peg, GMC cone test, shoulder arcs, theraband, dumbbells, cuff weights, weighted dowels, standing frame, lite gait, parallel bars, hi-lo mats, access to therapy gym on 5th floor with the equipment mentioned, etc. •         EMR – Meditech •         Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) – Y Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for:  (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)   Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. •          Texas OT License •         Current BLS Certification Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first. •          Bilingual (English, Spanish) •          Acute care experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s):   •          ADL Retraining •          Strength, ROM, coordination training •         Early mobility Best personality Fit: •          Team player •          Positive  attitude Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. •         Scrub Color -  Navy blue •           Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. •             Awards/Recognition:  Feel free to include items such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards, reigning annual chili cook-off winners, etc.  •          2024 Frist Humanitarian Award Recipient was from the therapy department •           Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment:  Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc.  *Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent. •         Level 2 trauma facility •         Stroke certified •         Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS)-Trainer on staff (1 of 2 in west Texas) •         5 therapists with CBIS certification on acute therapy team •         Great collaboration with the interdisciplinary team •         Therapy representation at Multi-Disciplinary Rounds in ICU, neuro/trauma, ortho, medical surgical •         Flexible scheduling; non-traditional schedule option
