Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans to enhance patients’ mobility, strength, and functional independence.
  • Help patients perform exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic activities to support their recovery.
  • Document patient progress, including improvements in mobility and strength, as well as any changes to treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on techniques and exercises to promote recovery and enhance quality of life.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of therapeutic equipment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Valid Washington Physical Therapist Assistant license.
  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
