•*11/4 or 12/2 Start Date ONLY** - Unit: L&D/PP - Perinatal - # L&D Beds: 11 beds - # triage beds: 8 beds - # births per day, per year: 3300 per year - Certs: NRP, BLS, ACLS, Fetal monitoring (advanced) all required - Ratios: they follow AWOHNN guidelines - FHM System: Fetal Link - EMR: Cerner - Charge Nurse: Yes - they take a patient assignment if needed - Nurse Aides/OB tech: yes they have a OB tech that scrubs in for c-sections, they will also help with triage and stock supplies - Weekend Requirement: Every other - Call Requirement: Call is required - what is required varies, 30 min response time - Holidays: one major and one minor - Scrub Color: provided - Tele: Nihon Kohden - Vents: No - OB/Neonataologist in house: OB attending 24 hrs - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes - Shifts: 12 hrs 7-7 - C-section experience required: must have experience with circulating, scrubbng preferred - Floating: L&D floats to antepartum - Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts on unit - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 20 weeks and above, high risk - blood pressure, multiples, diabetes, no prenatal care, Substance abuse, etc. - Additional Notes: 13th Largest center for births in California, must have 4 years experience or more in L&D, must also have experience with high risk deliveries (please inquire about the types of high risk deliveries they have experience with) and be familiar with pitocin, mag sulfate, insulin drips, etc. travel experience is preferred
