Location: St Anthony, MN 55421

Hourly Range: $20.00 - $26.00 (based on years of experience)

Salary Range: $41,600 - $54,080

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team in St Anthony, MN. As a vital member of our medical practice, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  2. Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent information accurately.
  3. Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization.
  4. Perform basic laboratory tests, such as phlebotomy and specimen collection, and handle specimens appropriately.
  5. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  6. Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and confidentially.
  7. Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers.
  8. Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and managing patient flow.
  9. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  1. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
  2. Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting preferred.
  3. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently under pressure.
  6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and patient care.
  7. Willingness to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  8. BLS certification Required.
  9. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
