Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health (Days)
Location: Lawton, OK 73505
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Pay rate: $45/hr on W2($25/Hr + Stipend $720/Week)
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Job Description
1. Responsible for input given into the formulation of the patient care plan.
2. Responsible for attending weekly clinical staffing and review of patient treatment plan.
3. Directly responsible for medication education with all patients and families.
4. Assures patient’s emotional and mental observations are reported to medical and clinical staff and are documented accurately and precisely in the patient chart.
5. Teaching and educational groups on the APU schedule.
6. Trains LPN’s and MHT’s in charting, vital signs, patient routines, proper vital signs and de-escalation techniques.
7. Is an active part of a PI team or other task force of the unit.
8. Accepts lecture, educational or marketing assignments as made by the Manager.
9. Maintains Therapeutic Options certification up to date.
10. Be a positive role model for patients and employees, with your language, dress, hygiene and behavior.
Submission Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience - Required
- De-Escalation training - Highly Preferred
- Recent traveler experience - highly preferred
- Flexible Schedule - Preferred, block scheduling may not be approved
- Work History
- Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years
- Licensure & Certifications (OK State License or compact & BLS - AHA, NIH)
- Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will consider local candidates at a reduced rate)
