Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Tele Float

Location: Tacoma, WA

Pay Scale: $2400 to $2500/week

Shift: Days


Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring and other critical care services across various units.
  • Telemetry Monitoring: Monitor patients’ heart rhythms and vital signs to ensure accurate and timely interventions.
  • Patient Positioning: Prepare and position patients for telemetry monitoring and other assessments, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement patient care plans, and modify as needed based on patient response and progress.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate telemetry monitoring equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with hospital safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and radiation safety standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and any changes in the patient's condition.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and aftercare to promote recovery and understanding.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of experience in telemetry or critical care.
  • Licensure: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – Preferred
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to interpret telemetry data, and expertise in patient care.
  • Float Experience: Previous experience floating between units is highly preferred.
  • Travel Requirements: Must have your own vehicle for this assignment.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
