Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Lancaster, NH 03584
Shift: Full-time and Part-time, 3x12-hour shifts, days
Pay: $30 to $45 hourly on W2
Department: Inpatient/Outpatient
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our healthcare team in Lancaster, NH. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The RRT will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. We offer comprehensive training for this role, making it an excellent opportunity for both experienced therapists and new graduates.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Therapeutic Procedures: Administer respiratory therapy treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, mechanical ventilation, and chest physiotherapy.
- Diagnostic Testing: Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, and oximetry.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and proper use of respiratory equipment.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment through regular checks and maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training programs to maintain professional competency and stay current with industry advancements.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certification: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Licensure: Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in New Hampshire.
- Experience: Experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting is preferred but not required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
