Job Description

Position: Radiation Therapist

Location: Houston, TX, 77030

Pay Scale: $60 to $65 per hour

Shift: Day Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by radiation oncologists.
  • Assess patients' conditions and collaborate with the oncology team to develop individualized care plans.
  • Operate and maintain advanced radiation therapy equipment to ensure precise treatment delivery.
  • Monitor and document patients' responses to therapy, addressing any side effects or complications.
  • Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential side effects, and aftercare.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatment plans, adjustments, and patient progress.
  • Uphold strict safety protocols and adhere to healthcare standards to protect patients and staff.

Requirements:

  • Certified Radiation Therapist (CRT) Credential: Current and valid certification.
  • State Licensure: As required by the state of employment.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in administering radiation therapy treatments.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory).
    • Advanced certifications (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, technical skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
