Job Description
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
Location: Atlanta, GA
Pay Scale:
-
Weekly Gross: $2,000 to $2,100
Shift: Days
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical (Med/Surg) unit, including those with a variety of medical conditions, recovering from surgery, or experiencing chronic illnesses.
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, oxygen saturation, pain levels, and overall physical and emotional well-being.
- Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and treatments, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and proper care.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with pre- and post-operative care, wound care, and support with patient mobility and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Respond promptly to patient needs, recognizing changes in condition and intervening as necessary.
- Document all nursing assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses in an accurate and timely manner.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, post-hospital care, and health promotion.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure – Required
- Previous experience in Med/Surg nursing – Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage complex, multi-system patient conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse healthcare team.
- Ability to prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Experience with patient education and care coordination – Highly Preferred
- Willingness to adapt to changing patient care needs and work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
