Submission Requirements:-
- 3 years current experience in approved laboratory
- ANOTHER NAME FOR THIS SKILL IS FLUORESCENCE-ACTIVATED CELL SORTING (FACS)
- Bachelor degree in Medical Technology or related science required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- ASPC (Cytometry, SCYM required) or ICCE required - Equivalent certs are not accepted - An ASCP/Cytotechnologist will not be accepted without the SCYM or ICCE Test
- Must have ability and education to perform high-complexity laboratory testing
- Traveler candidate must have his or her own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
Job Description:-
- Independent judgment and initiative required to schedule, organize, and plan work.
- Teach medical technology students how to process specimens and answer computer related questions.
- Responsible for care and accuracy in collection and labeling specimens.
- Flexibility and adaptability in emergencies including working additional hours or shifts.
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and alertly for extended periods of time and under stress, to ensure against errors.
- Above average manual dexterity.
- Effective communication skills, use of computer systems, listening, speaking, writing, and reading.
- Knowledge of HIS and LIS.
- Assorted laboratory analyzers and equipment appropriate to scope of position and dependent upon current technology.
