Job Title: RN - Cardiac Catheterization (Cath Lab)

Location: Council Bluffs, IA

Pay Range: $2,600 to $2,700/week

Shift: Days 40 hours/ week

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Cardiac Catheterization (Cath Lab) team in Council Bluffs, IA. This position offers a competitive weekly pay rate and provides an exciting opportunity to work with advanced cardiovascular technology while delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in cardiology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring a high standard of clinical practice and patient safety.
• Assessment & Monitoring: Assess and monitor patients' cardiovascular status pre-procedure, during the procedure, and in recovery, including vital signs, ECG, and lab results.
• Procedure Support: Assist the cardiologist and interventional team during catheterization procedures, including the insertion of catheters, stents, and other devices as needed.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the catheterization process, recovery expectations, and post-procedure care.
• Care Planning: Collaborate with the cardiology team to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly to any complications during procedures or in the recovery phase, providing life-saving interventions as necessary.
• Documentation: Accurately document all patient assessments, procedures, medications, and responses to treatment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all catheterization equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and functioning at all times.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Iowa.
• Experience: Proven experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or critical care setting is preferred.
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) certification is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong clinical knowledge in cardiac care and interventional procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
