Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds - 10
• Number of Staff – 65
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – Charge RN, 10-12 RNs, 1-2 Scrub Technicians, 1-2 Unit Secretaries
  • Night Shift – Charge RN, 6-8 RNs, 1 Scrub Technician, 1 Unit Secretary
• Patient Ratios – 1:1 or 1:2
• Type of equipment – GE Fetal Monitor, Neptune, Panda Warmers, Scales, Lights
• EMR – Centricity Perinatal (CPN) and Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: 

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

•  Labor and Delivery experience
• OR circulator experience

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

•  High risk L&D experience
•  Scrub nurse or first assist experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

• Vaginal births/C-Sections
•  Titration of oxytocin and magnesium sulfate
• Immediate care of the newborn

Best personality Fit:

•  Team player
• Willing to step in wherever there is a need

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

•  ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring or C-EFM
