Job Title: CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Technician

Location: Bismarck, ND

Pay Range: $2,000 to $2,200/week

Shift: Days 32 hours/ week

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CVOR Technician to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team in Bismarck, ND. This position offers a competitive weekly pay rate and the opportunity to play a key role in the surgical care of cardiovascular patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in the operating room setting, particularly in cardiovascular procedures, and be able to work effectively as part of a surgical team to ensure patient safety and the success of complex surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Surgical Assistance: Assist the cardiovascular surgeon and surgical team during open-heart surgeries, heart valve repairs, coronary artery bypass surgeries (CABG), and other cardiac procedures.
• Instrument Management: Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment specific to cardiovascular procedures. Ensure that all instruments are ready and functioning prior to surgery.
• Patient Care: Assist with positioning and prepping patients for cardiovascular surgery, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.
• Monitoring & Observation: Monitor patient vital signs and support the surgical team during procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all cardiovascular operating room equipment, such as heart-lung machines, monitors, and surgical tools, are well-maintained, calibrated, and sanitized.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to maintain a sterile environment and assist in a wide range of cardiovascular surgeries.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical instruments, equipment used, and patient status during the procedure.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
  • CVOR Experience: Proven experience working in a cardiovascular operating room setting is highly preferred.
• Education: Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent experience.
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of cardiovascular procedures and medical equipment.
  • Ability to handle instruments and surgical tools with precision and care.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to stay focused and work efficiently in a high-pressure surgical environment.
