Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the occupational therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, activities, and exercises under the supervision of the occupational therapist.
• Monitor and Document patient progress and provide reports to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on recovery techniques and strategies to increase independence.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care, progress, and any changes in their condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create an optimal care environment for patients.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensure: Valid COTA certification in the state of California.
• Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred, but not required.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; compassionate, patient-centered care.
