Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the occupational therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, activities, and exercises under the supervision of the occupational therapist.
- Monitor and Document patient progress and provide reports to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on recovery techniques and strategies to increase independence.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care, progress, and any changes in their condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create an optimal care environment for patients.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Licensure: Valid COTA certification in the state of California.
- Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred, but not required.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; compassionate, patient-centered care.
