Job Description

• Position: LPN/LVN - Wound Care
• Location:   Grass Valley 95945
• Pay Rate: $37-$38/hr
• Shift: Days (5x8 hours - Mon-Fri no weekends, First to Float)
• Work Week: 40 hours per week
• Gross weekly: $1,541.74/week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start:  7th Jan 2025

Unit Notes:  LPN/LVN - HBO Tech- Wound Care

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

• No prescreen, manager conducts interview
•  need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked
• Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.
• For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. **Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed**
• - Unit: Wound Care
• # of patients treated = 1 to 6
• Ratio = 1 to 2
• Diagnosis =DM ulcers, Osteomylitis, flap/grafs, late effects of radiation
• Area of coverage = Outpatient wound clinic & Hyperbaric Oxygen
• Shifts = Monday thru Friday 8 to 5, no weekends and/or holidays/and on call or standby
• Floating = only in the department if there are no HBOT patients, then would function as medical assistant/LVN/EMT assisting RNs in vital signs, wound measurements, room cleaning & prep, wound care, wound photographs
• Scrubs = green
• Department Orientation = training at the Common Learning Center in Sacramento and the wound care/HBO orientation & competencies in the department

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Must have BLS
• CHT (certified hyperbaric tech)
• May consider EMT with HTO experience however Pay rate may differ
• LVN, CA State License  
• At least 2+ years of Experience
• Experience = EMT/ LVN/CHT
• Need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked
• SSN, DL & Covid Card mandatory for Submittal
