Job Description:
The Nurse Manager in Springfield, VT, is a pivotal role within our healthcare facility, responsible for leading and managing the nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care. The position demands a dynamic individual who can effectively oversee daily operations, manage staff, and uphold the highest standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and manage daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, maintaining a safe and effective patient care environment.
- Clinical Expertise:
- Provide direct patient care as needed, serving as a clinical resource for nursing staff.
- Utilize telemetry experience to monitor and assess patient conditions, particularly in critical care settings.
- Ensure all nursing practices are evidence-based and aligned with the latest clinical guidelines.
- Quality Assurance and Improvement:
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies for continuous improvement in patient care.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting according to healthcare policies.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train nursing staff, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet patient needs.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to foster a supportive work environment.
- Manage staff schedules and assignments to optimize patient care delivery.
Requirements:
- Licensure:
- Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or a compact state RN license in good standing.
- Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or certificate from an accredited school of nursing (Required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing (Preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience (Required).
- At least one (1) year of current experience in nursing management with demonstrated leadership ability (Required).
- Telemetry experience (Required).
