Job Description:

The Nurse Manager in Springfield, VT, is a pivotal role within our healthcare facility, responsible for leading and managing the nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care. The position demands a dynamic individual who can effectively oversee daily operations, manage staff, and uphold the highest standards of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and manage daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, maintaining a safe and effective patient care environment.
  • Clinical Expertise:
  • Provide direct patient care as needed, serving as a clinical resource for nursing staff.
  • Utilize telemetry experience to monitor and assess patient conditions, particularly in critical care settings.
  • Ensure all nursing practices are evidence-based and aligned with the latest clinical guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance and Improvement:
  • Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies for continuous improvement in patient care.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting according to healthcare policies.
  • Staff Management:
  • Recruit, hire, and train nursing staff, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet patient needs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to foster a supportive work environment.
  • Manage staff schedules and assignments to optimize patient care delivery.

Requirements:

  • Licensure:
  • Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or a compact state RN license in good standing.
  • Education:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or certificate from an accredited school of nursing (Required).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing (Preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience (Required).
  • At least one (1) year of current experience in nursing management with demonstrated leadership ability (Required).
  • Telemetry experience (Required).
