Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated LVN/LPN for our outpatient care unit in Santa Maria, CA. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring outpatient services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. This position requires a strong clinical background, effective communication skills, and a focus on patient education and support.
Duties
- Monitor and assess the condition of patients in the outpatient care unit.
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and manage patient care as required.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic health record systems.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of LVN/LPN experience, preferably in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
- Experience with pre-operative and post-operative patient care is preferred.
Requirements
- Active CA State LVN or LPN license.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
