Job Description: LVN/LPN Dialysis Nurse
Location: Augusta, GA, 30901
Shift: Days, 36 hours guaranteed
Duration: 4 weeks
Pay: $30 to $35 hourly on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with dialysis experience to join our healthcare team in Augusta, GA. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment, ensuring their comfort and safety during the process. This position offers a guaranteed 36-hour work week on a day shift schedule for a duration of 4 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist with dialysis treatments, including setup, monitoring, and completion of procedures.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, identifying and addressing any complications or issues.
- Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, care plans, and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including doctors, RNs, and other support staff, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure all dialysis equipment is clean, sterilized, and functioning correctly.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LVN/LPN license in the state of Georgia.
- Previous experience in a dialysis setting is highly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
