Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location: San Jose, CA 95125
Hourly Pay: $35 to $40 (W2)
Employment Type: 13 weeks contract
Shift: Day
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients of all ages. The COTA will assist in developing treatment plans, implementing interventions, and monitoring patient progress to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct therapy sessions in accordance with established treatment protocols.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report findings to the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Adjust and adapt treatment plans as necessary under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility standards.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of California.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
