Shift:

12-hour Night, Every Other Weekend (EOW), First to Float

Guaranteed Hours: 36/week |

Pay:

Competitive (OT after 40 hours)

Charting System: Cerner (Required)

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with MedSurg/Oncology experience to join a reputable acute care facility. This position is ideal for a compassionate, detail-oriented nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, team-centered environment.

Requirements:

License to Submit: Yes

Experience:

Minimum 2–3 years in MedSurg/Oncology specialty

Certifications:

BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required

COVID-19 Vaccination – Required

BSN Required: No

Travel

Team Player Attitude: A must!

Must pass dysrhythmia exam

Unit Information:

Unit Type: MedSurg with a focus on Oncology (Traveler will NOT administer chemo)

Beds: 17

Patient Ratio: 1:5 (can be 1:4 if chemo patient included)

Common Diagnoses: Oncology primary, MedSurg overflow

Charge Nurse: Clinical Supervisor, non-assigned, assists with breaks

Nurse Aides: 1 NA available for 8 hours during day shifts

Scrub Color: Navy

Charting System: Cerner

Tele

Requirements:

Portable tele, nurse must read/interpret; monitor tech provided

Hospital Resources:

Trauma Level: II

Hospitalist/In-house provider: 24/7

RT Available: 24/7

Pharmacy Support: 24/7

Additional Notes:

Floating: Required (Tele or other MedSurg units)

Floor Orientation: 1 shift on unit

Holiday RTO: Considered, but not guaranteed

Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Holidays: Integrated into perm staff rotation
