Key Responsibilities:

• Patient care: Provide basic care, such as changing bandages, helping with bathing, and dressing patients 
• Vital signs: Monitor patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, body temperature, and pulse rate 
• Patient records: Maintain patient health records and document patient care 
• Communication: Discuss care with patients, listen to their concerns, and report patient status to doctors and registered nurses 
• Medication: Administer medications orally or by injection 
• Laboratory tests: Collect samples from patients for testing, such as blood, urine, and sputum 
• Administrative tasks: Answer patient calls, texts, and emails, and schedule appointments 
• Patient teaching: Assist in patient teaching assignments 
• IV therapy: May initiate and maintain IV infusions 
• Documentation: Prepare documentation in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner

Qualifications:

• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification in Michigan (don’t leave home without it!).
• Hospital experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train enthusiastic LVN who love to learn.
• Excellent communication skills—extra points if you can throw in a great dad joke!
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (but don’t worry, no capes required).

Job Types: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour (plus, we promise it’ll come with good vibes!)

Expected hours: 40 per week (with coffee breaks, snack breaks, and, well, more breaks!)
