Job Description
Unit Specifics:
•Number of Beds : - No beds
•Patient Ratios : 12: 1
•Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Each clinician will have a workstation with dual monitors for documentation. We have one admin asst who sits in the front office.
•Type of equipment : N/A
•Documentation system: Meditech Magic
•Scheduling requirements: 0800-1630 M-F, with 30-minute meal break. Patients break for lunch from 12-1p, staff choose this time to have lunch or we have meetings for part of the hour.
•Floating policy: N/A
•Patient Experience requirements: Professionalism and Conduct, Compassionate Patient Centered Care, Clinical and Service Standards (documentation, assessments, etc.).
Hospital Specifics-
•Certifications: CPI, BLS
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set:
Must have: Masters Degree in Social Work, Clinical Psych/Counseling Psychology or related
Advanced skills needed: Crisis management, group facilitation skills, clinical documentation and compliance.
Procedures performed on unit: Group psychotherapy, Group Psychoeducation, Process groups, de-risking patients, admissions, discharges for adults and adolescents- ages 13-18.
Certifications Required: CPI and Basic Life Support
Dress Code: (Required uniform)
• Black scrubs or business casual, DARK jeans ok on Fridays, no holes or tears.
Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
•Standard HCA policies on attendance and conduct. Billing sheet, census and group notes are to be completed by EOD.
Awards/Recognition: Please include anything that you would like prospective candidates to be aware of, such as, links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards.

•Great team environment- everyone comes in giving their 110%. High functioning/high performing team. We are located in an outpatient building across the parking lot of the main hospital, we have our own parking lot. Leadership is very supportive and involved. Small team of 1 director (LPC), 1 team lead (LCSW), 1 admin asst, 1 full-time RN, 2 PRN RNs, and 8 are clinicians. We have 2 LPC’s and 1 LCSW, rest are either residents or supervisees. Our environment is safe and patients are, for the most part, voluntary. We rarely have BERT responses. We have direct admission processes in place to step up patients to a higher level of care. The team divides their workload- running groups, charting, documentation, treatment plans, psychosocial assessments.
•No medications are administered on the units.
•Adolescents are in a separate adjoining suite. We are also starting construction on another adjacent suite to expand services.
•We have an adult psychiatrist, an addictionologist, and adolescent psychiatrist.
