Job Title: General Ultrasound Technologist (AB, OB/GYN, BR) - 13-Week Contract

Job Summary:

Lifecare Medical Center is looking for an experienced General Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week contract. The role involves independently performing a variety of sonography procedures, utilizing clinical and cognitive sonographic skills to provide quality diagnostic information. The candidate will be responsible for patient assessments, conducting examinations, analyzing sonographic data, and preparing preliminary reports. This position requires a high level of judgment and technical skill to ensure quality service to both physicians and patients.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting on 11/18/2024
• Holiday Coverage: Not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical assessments and diagnostic sonography exams, adapting as needed for anatomical and diagnostic information
• Review patient charts and confirm patient identity with two identifiers
• Use independent judgment to distinguish normal from pathological findings
• Synthesize sonographic information with medical history and communicate findings to physicians
• Maintain patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality during exams
• Document patient history and changes in EMR & PACS systems
• Report equipment malfunctions to the Director and ensure probe sterilization and equipment storage
• Manage supply and linen inventory and document any medication used

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in diagnostic imaging as an ultrasound technologist
• Certification: Active state license required
• Specialization: Experience in general abdomen, OB/GYN, breast, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Bilingual: Not required
