LPN - Med Surg

Job Description

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Med Surg

Location: Portsmouth, NH

Pay Scale: $1,450 - $1,550 per week

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Assist with patient assessments and contribute to care planning under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
• Perform wound care, IV insertion, and other necessary nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, treatments, and post-discharge instructions.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an LPN in Med Surg (required).
• BLS certification (required).
• IV certification (required).
• Active LPN license in New Hampshire or compact state (required).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
