Profile review with Clinical then to manager for a phone interview. Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months. Endoscopy Techs work 4-10 hour shifts/week (40 hrs/wk), 0700-1730. Start times flex according to case volume- may be as early as 0600. Endo Techs share weeknight call coverage (typically 2 nights/wk) and rotate weekend call coverage as well. UnitEndo Tech # suites:2 procedure rooms, 15 preop/pacu beds Ratios:-- Required Certifications: (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)Tech-BLS Required Duties:Techs assist with procedures and scope reprocessing. Common Cases:high volume of inpt/outpt. EGD, colonoscopy, complex EUS, ERCP, stone management, EMR, stent placement-temporary and permanent, GI bleed, bronchoscopy, EBUS and ION cases Experience or 'Must have' skills: MUST: Requires strong proficiency in advanced EUS, complex ERCP and stent placement/exchange/removal and stone management PREFERRED: advanced skills for EBUS, ION Endo techs need solid, meticulous manual scope washing and handling skills, HLD skills in Medivator DSD Edge and Olympus OER Pro, proficient and independent general GI skills for biopsy, snare, GI bleed, injections, lifting agents, banding, dilation with balloon or savory/Maloney dilators.' Are there techs or nurse aids in this department:n/a RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc):anesthesia does all endo cases Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): self scheduling, shifts are typically 0700-1730, however they flex start and end times according to case volumes. high volumes on weekend up to 10+ cases/day Weeknight/Call Requirements: Rotating weeknight call requirements, frequently have late weekday cases Weekend/Call Requirements: Rotating weekend call required, often one weekend day with case lineup of 8+ cases Holiday/Call Requirements:Shared weekend/holiday call What is call response time?30 minutes Floating Requirements:no Scrub Color/Dress Code:scrubs provided, blue Unit/Department specific orientation:5 days of orientation Additional Notes: high volume advanced GI cases. 20-30 per day in 2 rooms Facility Follow UpWhat is your availability in the next 24-48 hrs for a potential interview with the unit manager Notes obtained: Phone Implementation, Email, or On-Site?
