Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Grass Valley, CA 95945
Shift: Day Shift
Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hours
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $50 to $55 per hour (W2)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Grass Valley, CA, for a 13-week assignment. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve their mobility and manage pain through therapeutic exercises and treatments. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist to improve patients' physical mobility and overall quality of life.
- Conduct therapy sessions that involve exercises, massages, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor and document patients’ progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to be continued at home to facilitate recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care and progress.
- Ensure the therapy area is clean and safe for patients at all times.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care for patients.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Physical ability to assist with patient transfers and perform physical tasks as required by the position.
