Job Overview:

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our Medical/Surgical team in Phoenix, AZ for a 13-week contract. Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: 12-Hour Day & Night Shifts Available

Requirements:

  • Active CNA certification in Arizona or a compact state.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred).
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of recent Med/Surg CNA experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Patients Remotely: Oversee the care of up to 12 patients at a time through a virtual hospital setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Redirect and Communicate with Patients: Effectively communicate with patients who may be disoriented, confused, or at risk, using remote tools to provide guidance and support.
  • Ensure Clear Communication: Facilitate communication with patients through the computer interface, ensuring clarity and understanding, especially with patients who may have difficulty verbalizing their needs.
  • Monitor Vital Signs and Blood Sugar Levels: Regularly check and record patient vital signs, including blood sugar levels, to ensure they remain within safe parameters.
  • Assist with Patient Procedures: Perform duties such as the insertion of straight catheters, EKGs, and managing the insertion or removal of IVs as necessary.
  • Escalate Critical Situations: Assess patient conditions and escalate to appropriate healthcare personnel (e.g., Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, or Managers) when urgent medical attention or intervention is needed.
  • Handle Stressful Situations with Composure: Manage stressful interactions with patients in crisis, maintaining composure and professionalism, while ensuring effective communication and support.
