Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist (LTC)
Location: Graham, TX 76450
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days
Hourly Rate: $50 to $55 on W2
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a 13-week assignment in a long-term care (LTC) facility located in Graham, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in the adult and elderly population.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in residents of the LTC facility.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to patient care discussions.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
