Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Duties

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and assess patients' respiratory conditions.
• Operate and monitor life-support equipment, such as ventilators and oxygen delivery devices.
• Conduct arterial blood gas tests and adjust oxygen levels based on patients' needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory therapy procedures and equipment usage.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic health record systems like Epic or Meditech.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in an acute care or hospital setting.
• Provides cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support for patients in the Hospital and/or outpatients that require cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatment, and/or ventilatory support, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment.

Requirements

• Active NM State RRT license or compact license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required.
