Job Description
Board Certified OBGYN Must be BC/BE OB/GYN residency trained * Outstanding patient care qualities, highly motivated with an interest to grow their practice * Patient-focused and willing to collaborate and work in a team environment • Ability to obtain a medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico Shifts: Clinic Mon-Fri 8a-5p June 9 8am – June 10 8am June 16 8am – June 17 8am June 19 8am – June 24 8am July 2 8am – July 7 8am July 10 8am – July 12 8am July 23 8am – July 28 8am August – ongoing; pending dates for Aug CALL: Provider will be on call while working in the clinic 8a-5p. Night call: 5p-8a Weekend call: Fri 5p - Mon 8a Patient / Caseload Information: 8-10 deliveries per month Less than 15 patients per day in Clinic C section- 21% Occasional high risk but mostly low Staff Information: 2 OBGYNs, RN, MA, C section assist when on call Board Certification Requirements: Certified - Current certification or active participation in the examination process [with achievement of certification within 5 years leading to certification in OBGYN by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology EMR: EPIC Privileging Criteria: Required current experience: case logs must reflect at least 50 vaginal deliveries and at least 20 C-Sections in the past 12 months and the performance of at least 25 gynecological surgical procedures (to include at least 5 major abdominal cases) reflective of the scope of privileges requested in the past 12 months. Immunization Requirements See attached Contagious Disease – Workforce Immunity Requirement PDF - Provider will also need to complete an offsite drug screen in order to be cleared to start. Agency must schedule this no earlier than 14 days from the providers start date. Required Procedures / Skills Labor & Delivery: Low risk pregnancy – Pt’s with pre-existing problems, history of twins, history of toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis, etc. FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE OB ultrasounds – Performance of; Interpretation, Level I/screening (viability), Level II/targeted (anatomic) Routine delivery –Vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section Complicated delivery –C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc. Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Gynecology: Surgical gynecology – D&C, Hysterectomy, uterine suspension, anterior/posterior repair, tumor resection; incontinence and infertility procedures, repair of bowel injury, appendectomy Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only –tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromal tubation Operative/major (includes diagnostic) – ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA’s Additional Provider Requirements Must be able to supply case logs.
