Unit Information: Level III NICU
Location: HCA Houston Southeast
Address: 4000 spencer HWY

Tell us about the unit(s):
• Number of Beds - 14
• Number of Staff –
• Type of staff:
o Day Shift – Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Secretary 7-3 and 3-11, RN’s, RT, NNP on site 24/7, Neonatologist available 24/7 PT and OT, Lactation Consultant
o Night Shift – Clinical Nurse Coordinator, RN’s, RT, NNP on site 24/7, Neonatologist available 24/7
• Patient Ratios – 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 depending on acuity of infant.
• Type of equipment - Vents, Oscillator, IV pumps, feeding pumps, Medela milk warmers, phototherapy equipment, Omnibeds, bubble cPAP
• EMR - CPN documentation and Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• NRP, BLS
• Level II and Level III experience
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• STABLE
• Lactation Experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
• Assist with Line placement and line changes
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
• Scrub Color – royal blue scrubs
Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
• Hand hygiene-nothing below elbows, no rings, watches, fake nails or nail polish.
Awards/Recognition: Feel free to include items such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards, reigning annual chili cook-off winners, etc.
