Job Title: Permanent Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: Laconia, NH 03246
Shift: 30-35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
No weekend rotation
Facility:
- Beds: 400
- Unit: Long-Term Care (LTC)
Salary Range: $28-$30 per hour (W2)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Laconia, NH. The ideal candidate will provide support to physical therapists in a long-term care facility, helping patients improve their mobility and manage pain. This position offers a steady weekday schedule without weekend rotations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor patient progress and report findings to the physical therapist.
- Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to perform various physical activities and exercises.
- Use a variety of techniques, including stretching, strength training, and other therapeutic exercises.
- Document patient treatments and progress in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure a clean and safe treatment environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of New Hampshire.
- CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High level of compassion, professionalism, and dedication to patient care.
