Job Title: Permanent Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: Laconia, NH 03246

Shift: 30-35 hours per week, Monday through Friday

No weekend rotation

Facility:

• Beds: 400
• Unit: Long-Term Care (LTC)

Salary Range: $28-$30 per hour (W2)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Laconia, NH. The ideal candidate will provide support to physical therapists in a long-term care facility, helping patients improve their mobility and manage pain. This position offers a steady weekday schedule without weekend rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Monitor patient progress and report findings to the physical therapist.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to perform various physical activities and exercises.
• Use a variety of techniques, including stretching, strength training, and other therapeutic exercises.
• Document patient treatments and progress in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure a clean and safe treatment environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of New Hampshire.
• CPR certification.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• High level of compassion, professionalism, and dedication to patient care.
