CNA – MS/Tele Float

Location: Tacoma, WA 98405

Pay Rate: $37/hr

Start: First Come, First Serve

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Duration: 13 Weeks

• Nights

• Every Other Weekend (EOW)

• Must be willing to float within Region Two if needed

• Minimum 2 years of experience

• BLS Certification required

• Active CNA license

• COVID Vaccine required

• Must be skilled in vital signs, PIV removal, foley removal (no blood sugars)

• Comfortable with med-tele level of care

• Must be flexible and willing to float

• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred

Unit Overview:

• 189 beds + 32 transition beds at St. Joseph Medical Center

• Ratios: 1:9–10 (Days) | 1:11–16 (Nights)

• Common Diagnoses: COPD, COVID, CHF, abdominal surgeries, dialysis, cardiac, med-tele, psych, infectious diseases, ortho, neuro (Stroke/TBI), heart cath recovery, general post-surgical

• Orientation: 1 day general + 1 day unit-specific

• Scrub Color/Dress Code: N/A

• Call: Standby as per nursing contracts

• Holidays: Same as nursing staff
