Job Title: Long Term Care Director
Location: Meeker, CO 81641
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hr/week
Shift: Days with on call availability
Job description
- Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate resident care.
- Assure that the Long Term Care unit is compliant with all mandatory regulations and requirements.
- Coordinate and provide staff education and in-services.
- Assess the educational needs of staff.
- Prepare annual facility goals and objectives.
- Complete Quality Improvement studies.
- Prepare for the annual State Nursing Home Survey.
- Develop the budget; use the budget to maintain staffing; document the needs for additional equipment and supplies.
- Review protocols, procedures, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Nursing School required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current, unencumbered license required.
- Previous experience in a long term care setting required.
- Current BLS required six (6) months of transfer or hire .
- Train the Trainer certification to provide CNA classes required within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
- Wound Care certification preferred
