Job Type: Per Diem

Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $55-62/hr

Job Description:

Are you an experienced Labor & Delivery RN looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity? Join our team in Lynwood, CA! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns in our Birthplace on a per diem basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe and high-quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in Labor & Delivery.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional standards of care.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilize the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care during antepartum and postpartum periods.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certificate (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certificate (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
