VES has a new process to replace the current 90-120 minute PEP Session and the portal videos. Reach360 is the new system VES is using to distribute provider training materials. Here is the outline of how provider training will work going forward:
Provider completes VA required DMA certifications (10+ hours)
Provider is assigned VES New Provider Orientation Materials (60-90 min) in Reach 360
When both VA DMA Certifications and VES Orientation materials are complete, provider is activated.
Schedulers assign first cases and request a PEP session
Based on cases assigned, VES-created DBQ and Medical Opinion trainings are assigned in Reach360 (varies, but 1-2 hours on average)
PEP session (which is now just a quick check in) happens before first exams to verify the provider has reviewed DBQ training content and feels prepared for first day of exams
First exams are seen
Optional Up Front QA session is offered to the provider for live review of first exam reports
Once established, if the provider is willing and there is a need, VES may ask for them to travel to other areas to assist with cases. In these cases, travel expenses will be reimbursed per VES guidelines.
