Job Opportunity: Tech: Surgical Tech in Seattle, WA 98101

• Position: Tech: Surgical Tech
• Location: Seattle, WA 98101
• Pay Rate: $53-$54 per hour
• Gross Weekly: $1,800/week
• Work Week: 40 hours per week
• Shift Notes: 4x10 days/Evenings with call as needed
• Duration: 13 weeks (high Possibility of contract extension)
• Shift Notes:- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) 4-10 hour shifts, variable days and start times Mon-Friday. Start times- 0630,0900 or 1100. No self scheduling. Will keep start time consistent for the same week. Tuesdays and Fridays- later start times for in services and team meetings

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and implement treatment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and facilitate timely interventions.
• Perform routine and emergency procedures as needed.
• Assist in patient education on post-treatment care and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Unit Notes: Operating Room 

• MUST HAVE WA State license at time of submittal! No pending license will be reviewed.
• **Medical Solutions auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax - you are able re-add that back in.**
• Trauma Level 3
• Unit OR Tech
• # Suites 22 Capabality to go to 26 ( on 3 different floors)
• Average # of cases per day 50-65
• Required Certifications BLS -- CST- national cert not required- must be registered with Washington State. Graduate of an accredited school.
• Common Cases GYN/Uro/Vascular/Plastic/Ortho (total hips/knees)/Neuro/Cardiovascular/Thoracic/General (Breast/HPB/Bariatric)/Sports Med (Hand/Podiatry)/Kidney (or kidney/pancreatic) transplants, ENT (FESS (sinus), septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy in addition to soft tissue - thyroid/parathyroid. Large and complex cases. Robot-Davinci Xi (Gyn, Uro, General).16 total different service lines.
• Experience or 'Must have' skills Scrubbing- one year of experience. First time travelers okay.
• Must have the following: ENT (FESS (sinus), septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy in addition to soft tissue - thyroid/parathyroid. Davinci XI experience required (Gyn, Uro, General). (updates per manager/Ally 2.14.24/KB)
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Yes .
• Weeknight/Call Requirements 1 Call total (weeknight or weekend) per 4 week schedule. Weekday call begins at the end of shift until 7am next morning.
• Weekend call is 24 hours (7am to 7am). Scheduled by manager. Weekend/Call Requirements Weekend call is 24 hours (7am to 7am) and is rotated between staff and travelers.
• Holiday/Call Requirements No
• What is call response time? 30 Minutes- call room is available.
• Floating Requirements None
• Scrub Color/Dress Code Teal- Scrubs provided
• Unit/Department specific orientation HR and OR leadership- Scavenger hunt- 2 days with a surgical tech.
• Additional Notes Physicians and team are very helpful and willing to teach. Travelers tend to extend as long as they can.

Requirements: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• BLS, ACLS, Current WA state license. Techs: BLS, WA state CNA certification OR WA Surgical Tech license
• Scrubbing- one year of experience
• ENT (FESS (sinus), septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy in addition to soft tissue - thyroid/parathyroid. Davinci XI experience required (Gyn, Uro, General). (updates per manager/Ally 2.14.24/KB)
• BLS -- CST- national cert not required- must be registered with Washington State
• Graduate of an accredited school
