Job Description: Physical Therapy Assistant

Location: Everett, WA 98204

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Days

Hourly Pay on W2: $35 to $40

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team for a 13-week assignment in Everett, WA. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries, illnesses, and surgeries. Your role will be crucial in providing high-quality care and support to our patients, ensuring their rehabilitation process is as smooth and effective as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapists: Implement treatment plans designed by physical therapists to help patients achieve their goals.
  • Patient Care: Conduct therapy sessions with patients, utilizing various physical therapy techniques to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient progress, treatments administered, and other relevant information.
  • Education: Instruct patients and their families on home exercises, therapeutic techniques, and usage of assistive devices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure therapy equipment is clean, functional, and ready for use.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Licensure: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Washington.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting patients and equipment, standing for extended periods, and demonstrating exercises.
