Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room
Location: Redding, CA 96001
Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: NOC Shift (Night Shift)
Pay Rate: $55/hr
Job Description:
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for emergency care? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN to join our Emergency Room team in Redding, CA, for a 13-week contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a significant impact on patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in the Emergency Department.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient’s condition and/or response to treatment.
- Ensure knowledge and compliance with EMTALA regulations and the reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and the Hospital Social Worker.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in an Emergency Room setting.
- Current CA RN License.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Proficiency in using Meditech EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient conditions.
Additional Information:
- Work schedule: 36 hours per week.
- Scrubs are not provided; please ensure you have appropriate attire.
